Let’s face it! When it really counts, not least at election time, the public rarely gets the message. Thus, amid the infantile campaign caricatures as the candidate of ‘experience’, of ‘hope and unity’, of ‘leadership’, there is little focus on the real issues: Of the pharmaceutical industry (among others) blocking health care reform or of the oil industry (among others) blocking energy and environmental reform.
